Can I view a Pinterest profile without an account?
Yes. Public profiles, boards and pins open on pinterest.com without signing in, and the viewer above shows the latest pins of a public profile or board right here. On its own site Pinterest may ask you to sign in after a while of scrolling.
Is the viewer anonymous?
Pinterest does not tell anyone who looked at their profile, here or on pinterest.com. The pins load from Pinterest into your browser, so Pinterest sees the visit as it does on any page with a Pinterest widget. The name you look up stays in your browser's address bar after the # sign and is never sent to Pingroupie, so Pingroupie keeps no record of it.
Can I see private profiles or secret boards?
No. Secret boards and profiles their owners made private stay hidden, here and in every tool that keeps to Pinterest's rules. The viewer shows only what the owner chose to make public.
Why does the viewer show no pins?
The name may be misspelled, the account may be private, empty or closed, or a browser extension may block Pinterest's widget. The Open on Pinterest button above the pins takes you to the page itself.
How do I find someone's Pinterest username?
It is the part after pinterest.com/ in the address of their profile: for pinterest.com/etsy/ the username is etsy. You can also paste the whole link of a profile, a board or a pin.
Does Pingroupie show follower numbers or analytics of other accounts?
No. Pinterest lets a tool analyze only the account its owner connects. The follower numbers of other accounts are on their profiles on Pinterest; the analyzer on this page audits your own account.
Does Pinterest show who viewed my profile?
No. Pinterest shows account owners totals such as impressions, saves and audience, never the names of the people who looked. The free audit reads those totals for your own account.
